In brief

In addition to theory lessons, students are taught practical skills by qualified instructors. You can train and apply these on high-quality machines. The practical lessons are held in small groups (maximum 15 people) and several trainers are on site to accompany the students. The preceding theory lessons are illustrated by practical application. The training is supplemented by internships in industry.

Goals

  • Apply what you have learned in theory lessons in practice
  • Practicing as if you were in the industry
  • One machine per person
  • Be able to prepare and plan the work
  • Good knowledge of CNC programming and machining
  • Acquire knowledge about design, measurement technology and quality
  • Preparation for industry (productivity, evolution, polyvalence)

Semester

  • 1./3. and 5th semester full-time training at the BSDU (80% practice, 20% theory)
  • 2./4. and 6th semester in the industry. Scholarships from companies possible.

Degrees

(Entry and exit possible after each semester)

  • Certificate (6 months)
  • Diploma (12 months)
  • Advanced diploma (24 months)
  • Bachelor’s degree in vocational training (36 months)

Career opportunities

Students can pursue a career as a polymechanic, sheet metal and welding specialist, assembly and maintenance specialist or toolmaker in the private, public and state sectors.

Infrastructure and equipment

The training center offers the latest machines from Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, etc.
